Open a Support TicketAccount & Subscription
Your account stores your subscription status; the client uses the subscription on your device. Knowing which part is responsible can help you avoid importing it again or changing plans unnecessarily.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my account details?
No email address is required to create an account—just a username and password. Save both securely after setup. A password manager is a good option, and you should use a unique password for VPNJoin. Not providing an email address doesn't mean you can afford to lose your login details: make sure you can still access them before signing out, clearing browser data, or switching devices. If you have trouble accessing your account, visit the Contact page for support options and describe the message you see and what you were doing. Don't include your password or full subscription link in your request, and don't assume account recovery by email is available.
Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I refresh the route list?
Sign in to the user panel and find your subscription details under Subscription Overview. Choose an import method that matches your client. If you've already imported the subscription, you can usually update or refresh it from the client's subscription settings; labels vary by app. After updating, check that the active configuration is the correct subscription, then select a route again. If the list hasn't changed, first check whether the update succeeded, your network is working, and the subscription status in the panel is normal. Reimport only if needed. Treat your subscription link like a password: it contains access credentials. Before submitting a screenshot in a support ticket, hide the link's full parameters.
Do I need to change plans when switching devices or using multiple devices at once?
There is no device limit, so you don't need to change plans just because you switch devices or add devices for simultaneous use. Sign in to the same account on the new device, then use the user panel to find the client and subscription import options for that platform. Client settings don't automatically sync between devices, so check each device's subscription update status, selected route, proxy mode, and system permissions. Keep an eye on your account's data usage, too: unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. When you stop using an old device, remove any saved subscription details so the credentials aren't passed on with it.
Which platforms are supported? Do I need to get the client and subscription separately?
VPNJoin supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Get the client and view your subscription details in the user panel. Don't use installers from unknown sources or someone else's subscription. Installing a client and importing a subscription are separate steps: the client is the software, while the subscription gives it access to the route configuration associated with your account. If you don't see any routes after installation, check whether you've imported and enabled the subscription rather than reinstalling the client. Refer to the panel and your device for download requirements, system permissions, and import instructions. For step-by-step help, see the Guides page.
Connections & Troubleshooting
Start troubleshooting with your local network, then check your subscription, client routing mode, and target app. Keep your original settings and change one thing at a time.
The client says it's connected, but why won't websites load?
A connected status usually means the client has established a connection; it doesn't guarantee that all app traffic is using the selected route. Disconnect first and confirm your local network works on its own. Then check your subscription status, remaining data, and any error messages in the client. Reconnect and make sure the system proxy or the appropriate traffic-routing mode for your device is enabled. Test more than one website. If only one site is affected, check its status, regional requirements, and sign-in restrictions. If several sites are affected, try another route for comparison. Change only one setting at a time and note the results before and after each change to identify what actually helps.
Why isn't a particular app using the proxy when my browser works?
Whether an app uses the proxy depends on its networking behavior, how the client routes traffic, and the rules in effect. A working browser doesn't prove that other apps are using the system proxy. Check the client's connection log or rule matches to see whether requests from the affected app reach the client. If they don't, consult the client instructions and check the system proxy, the app's own proxy settings, or tunnel mode. If requests reach the client but are routed directly, review the rules and check whether they match the destination domain. Note your original settings before changing modes, then restart the app and test again. If your work device is managed, follow your organization's policies and don't change security settings without permission.
What should I check if a subscription update fails or no routes appear after importing?
First check the subscription status in the user panel, then make sure your client supports the selected import format. Copy the full link without adding explanatory text or spaces, and don't paste a truncated version. Never share the link in a public chat for someone else to inspect. Check the update message and distinguish between a network connection failure, an unsupported format, and an account status issue; each calls for a different fix. Try restoring your local network connection, then update through the import option in the panel. If the problem persists, note the client name, operating system, exact error message, and steps you took, then submit a support ticket. Hide subscription credentials in screenshots.
How can I confirm the connection is working, and what should I include in a support ticket?
Compare your exit IP address and location before and after connecting, then check the client's connection log and whether the target app actually works. With split tunneling, different websites may use different routes, so one successful page doesn't tell you how every app is routed. Interpret DNS checks in light of your client settings; a single DNS result can't prove where all requests are going. In your support ticket, include your operating system, client name, selected region, network environment, target app, error message, and steps you've already tried. Keep the error visible in screenshots, but hide sensitive credentials, passwords, subscription links, and payment details. Your username may remain visible.

Speed & Routes
Region, route type, and protocol are separate choices. Whether the target service works and the connection stays stable are more useful guides than the region name alone.
Which regions are available, and should I choose a route by distance or by use case?
VPNJoin covers 110+ countries with 160+ routes. Check your account's route list for the available options. First find out whether the service you want to use requires an exit region in a specific location, then compare how well your local network connects to that region. Distance is only one factor: ISP peering, relay arrangements, and the target site's infrastructure can all affect performance. For everyday browsing, try a nearby region that suits your needs. For international work, consider where your work services are based. A region name alone doesn't guarantee speed, and coverage doesn't mean every website will be accessible. Check the target service's own policies and status separately.
How can I troubleshoot slow speeds or video buffering during peak hours?
Pause background downloads, cloud sync, and high-bandwidth activity on other devices. Make sure your local network isn't overloaded, then compare routes using the same content. Keep the app, video quality, and network conditions consistent so you don't change several variables at once. If switching local networks helps, the issue may be related to Wi-Fi signal or your ISP's routing. If a different exit route helps, you can use the better-performing route for now. Video apps may cache the old connection, so reload the content after switching routes. If the problem continues, note when it happened, your region, the app, and your comparison results, then submit a support ticket. These details are more useful than simply saying the connection is slow.
What's the difference between IEPL, relay, and direct routes?
These terms mainly describe how a route is set up. A direct route usually connects the client straight to the destination entry point. A relay route adds a forwarding step. An IEPL route uses a dedicated link for part of the transmission. These labels help explain the path, but they don't determine actual latency or stability on their own. Local access, congestion at the entry point, transit between network segments, and the route from the exit point to the destination can all become bottlenecks. Compare routes under the same conditions, looking at connection success, responsiveness, and interruptions over time. Protocols and route topology are different concepts. See the protocol reference for more on the trade-offs.
Why are streaming services or AI tools still unavailable after I switch regions?
Changing your exit route only changes part of the network path. A platform may also consider your account region, sign-in session, payment details, app cache, and its own service availability. First confirm that the app is actually using the new route. Then disconnect the old connection, reload the app, and check whether the error changes. If the issue affects only one account, check the platform's account notices instead of repeatedly switching routes. VPNJoin's route coverage does not guarantee access to every streaming region or AI service. Follow the platform's terms of service and rely on the actual results. When reporting an issue, include the exact error message, but don't share your platform login credentials.
Billing & Refunds
First distinguish monthly plans from data packs, then check your order and subscription status. For payment or refund questions, use a support ticket in the user panel to keep a complete record.
How much do monthly plans and data packs cost, and which should I choose?
Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data packs: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. A monthly plan suits regular use when you can estimate your data needs. Data packs are used until depleted and never expire, making them a good fit for occasional use or budgeting by total data usage. Check your actual usage first, then consider how much you stream, download, and use multiple devices. Don't compare prices alone. See the plans page and user panel for full details, and confirm the plan name, billing method, and data allowance before placing an order so you don't confuse a monthly plan with a data pack.
When does monthly plan data reset, and what happens if I upgrade mid-cycle?
Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check your account details in the user panel to confirm the reset date; don't assume it resets at the start of each calendar month. Before upgrading, review your current plan, remaining usage, and the upgrade details shown in the panel. Don't calculate a payment or expiration date by subtracting full-month prices, as the result may differ from what's shown in the panel. Data packs are used until depleted and never expire, so monthly reset rules don't apply to them. If your account records don't match your expectations, keep the relevant order details and explain the difference in a support ticket.
Which payment methods are supported, and what should I do if my status doesn't update after payment?
We accept Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. After creating an order, follow the payment instructions in the panel, then return to the order page to check its status. Don't change the payment destination based on a chat message or an unfamiliar link. If the payment result doesn't match the status in the panel, first make sure you're signed in to the account that created the order. Save the order number, payment status, and relevant proof, then contact support through a ticket. Don't repeat the payment before confirming the original order's status; that can make verification more difficult. Hide account details that aren't relevant to the issue when submitting proof. Check the order history and subscription overview separately to confirm whether payment is complete and the plan is active.
How long is the refund period, and how do I request a refund?
VPNJoin offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, first read the refund information in the Terms of Service. Then sign in to the user panel and submit a refund request by support ticket, including the order number and payment method so the transaction can be identified. Keep refund requests separate from general connection troubleshooting and state clearly that you're requesting a refund. If you can't sign in, check the Contact page for support options. Don't include your password, full subscription link, or sensitive payment credentials in a ticket. Don't send another payment based on unofficial messages. Follow your ticket replies for updates; no specific processing or arrival time is promised.
